Virtual Festival opens March 12th at 6 PM (EST) and closes March 21st at 6 PM (EST)
Welcome to the 11th Annual Coastline Children’s Film Festival. This year, we've partnered with Eventive Virtual to offer an on-demand version of our annual 10-day event (available to viewers in Michigan and Indiana only). The festival includes 7 feature films, 3 documentaries, 3 Kid Flicks short programs from the New York International Children’s Film Festival and Boje – a special short film screening with Rocca Changes The World.
In addition, Dr. Larry Schanker will play piano to two silent films in real time on Saturday March 13 at 6PM. Join us on Sunday March 14 at 5PM for a Q&A with Harleen Singh - director of Drawn Together. Both programs will stream live on Eventive. Finally, enjoy the 2021 Young Filmmakers Competition on YouTube (beginning in March). The competition is free to anyone 18 years of age and younger. Awards will be presented to the top three films. This year's judge is Doreen Bartoni, Dean Emeritus, School of Media Arts at Columbia College.
After creating a free Eventive account, use our Pay What You Can option at checkout to make a modest donation (suggested donation of $2) or select $0 to enjoy any film or live event absolutely FREE. It’s that easy!
The Coastline Children’s Film Festival is made possible by a generous contribution from the Virginia & Harvey Kimmel Family Foundation. This activity is supported by the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs Minigrant Program administered by the Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo. Programs in New Buffalo and Three Oaks are underwritten by a grant from The Pokagon Fund. Sponsors include Fruitbelt, Modern Dentistry Associates, Sam & Connie Monte and New Buffalo Times.
